Patience instead
of pressure.

I'm Brandon Castillo, the trainer behind BC Horses Ship. I grew up around horses and have spent years learning to listen — reading what a horse is telling me and answering with patience instead of pressure.

Starting a nervous colt, settling a new boarder, guiding a first-time rider down the trail — the goal never changes: a happy, healthy horse and a confident rider.

"A well-started horse and a confident rider are worth every bit of patience it takes to get there."

Before you commit

How much does it cost?

Colt starting from $500 per horse, boarding $600 a month, trail rides $50 per person, lessons $40 each, pony rides $35 for 30 minutes. Every number is on the rates page. Colt starting is a starting price because young horses differ — we confirm it after we evaluate yours, before any work begins.

How long does colt starting take?

Most colts run 30 to 90 days depending on age, history and temperament. We set the window with you at evaluation and we don't rush a young horse to hit a date. You get progress video along the way, not promises.

Can I visit my horse and see how you work?

Yes — any time your horse is here. Watch a session, ask questions, and near the end we'll ride together so the training transfers to you, not just to us. Every service also links to unedited video of the real work.

What does boarding include?

Spacious bedded stalls mucked daily, green turnout every day, quality feed on a schedule, a sand riding arena on site, and people who notice the small things. Come tour the property first — we encourage it.

What are your hours, and how do I get started?

Seven days a week, 9 AM to 7 PM — winter hours (Nov to Mar) are 9 AM to 5 PM. To start, add what you need to your request and send it, or just message us on WhatsApp. We reply personally, even if the answer is "your horse doesn't need us."
